: Abandoned vehicles
If you find a vehicle abandoned outside your property, please
contact Council's Parking Team Council on 
resource@hdc.govt.nz
or phone 06 878 0500.
Council will make the necessary arrangements to trace the owner of the vehicle, have it removed or disposed of.
$20 petrol vouchers for unwanted cars
If you have a vehicle that you wish to dispose of, deliver it to Hawke's Bay Vehicle Recyclers, Orchard Road, Hastings, between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and on Saturday until 12noon. You will receive a $20 petrol voucher provided your vehicle or wreck is free of rubbish and delivered during open hours.
