The Capital Projects fund is for projects that are establishing or developing major community facilities or projects in excess of $25,000.
Applicants must be able to make a significant contribution to the project and leverage other funding.
Successful applicants will be required to fill in accountability forms outlining how the money has been spent.
When applying you will need to include:
- Budgets and annual accounts.
- An operational or strategic plan.
- The project must show a significant degree of community good, for example, applicants must be able to identify beneficiaries of the project and clearly identify evidence of the need for the project.
- Organisations must submit a funding strategy to raise the rest of the money.
- Organisations will have 12 months to secure the balance of the project funding, otherwise this approval will lapse. Organisations may re-apply, subject to the Council's further determination.
- Operational or business plans setting out how the organisation delivers its services. It is not intended that an organisation must incur any significant expense or engage professional assistance to prepare operational plans to satisfy this policy. Organisations without any formal plans should first contact the Community Services group for advice.
Projects in excess of $50,000
If your project exceeds $50,000, you must complete a self assessment of the project.
Feasibility studies may be required for projects in excess of $100,000.
