Civic Honours Awards

So many people in the Hastings District have devoted their time and energy in to making a difference in our communities. Victim support volunteers, sport coaches, art enthusiasts; the list goes on.

Each year Council recognises the voluntary service of individuals or groups/organisations through the Civic Honour Awards. The awards recognise an individual, group or organisation that has contributed significantly to the Hastings District.

Nominations are now open!

Nominations for the Civic Honour Awards are now open. To nominate an individual or group/organisation, complete the form and return to Hastings Distict Council either by email to customerservice@hdc.govt.nz or via post to Civic Honour Awards, Hastings District Council, Private Bag 9002, Hastings 4156. 

You will be asked to provide detail on why you are nominating the individual or organisation including significant achievements/awards and service they have given to the community.

Selection process

The nominations are judged by Hastings District Council’s Civic Awards subcommittee.
