The Selection Process

The Community Awards Selection Panel meets to evaluate the nominees and their contributions.

The Community Award itself is a framed certificate and was presented at an official ceremony held in the Council Chamber. Friends and family of the recipients were invited along to enjoy the occasion.

Rotary Youth Awards

Hastings Youth Rotary Awards are for young people aged up to 20 who have made a significant contribution to our schools and/or community.

The successful young people receive a framed certificate from the Hastings Rotary Club.

A committee of Hastings Rotary members will meet in December to evaluate the nominees and their contributions. When the awards have been decided, a ceremony is held in the Council Chamber.

Nominations for both the Civic Honour Awards and the Rotary Youth Awards close on Friday 12 December 2008.
