Community plans provide a framework for implementation through specific time orientated objectives to guide the community, community groups, agencies and the Hastings District Council now and in the future.

Camberley is a small community in terms of residents and geography. It is an area recognised for its cultural diversity and its close-knit community spirit.

The residents are proud of Camberley and through participating in writing this plan, have determined a way ahead for their community.

This document is their work and their vision.
The Camberley Community Plan was adopted in 2003 and since then has seen some great results.
Outcomes achieved have included:

  • A new playground for Kirkpatrick Park
  • Three very successful CAFEs (Camberley Annual Festival Event)
  • Well-attended holiday programmes held by Te Ora Hou Trust
