Are you involved in an ongoing service to the Hastings district community such as swimmining pool trusts, community centres or key annual events? If you answered yes, then could be eligible to apply for the Contract for Services Fund.
Examples of services funded in the past have included the Flaxmere and Havelock North Community Centres, Hawke's Bay Surf Lifesaving, @omic Events Centre and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
Groups receive a three-yearly cycle of funding - which requires more forward planning and regular reporting back to Council.
Priority is given to applications from groups that:
Evidence of planning, budgets and annual accounts are required for Council's Contract for Services grant. Council will, in the first instance, approve a three year funding commitment, and thereafter determine the funding annually for the third year.
At the annual review, the Council will monitor performance against agreed levels and consider Year 3 of the budget. Therefore, organisations in this category have a guarantee of three years funding subject to satisfactory performance. Organisations failing to perform may have funding withheld.
Payments of the funding will normally be made on a quarterly basis unless otherwise agreed between the parties.
Organisations seeking a funding increase must demonstrate how they propose to joint-fund the cost with Council for example with other funding partners. The Council does not expect to be the sole funder. Organisations which make an effort to raise funds themselves will be favoured.
Applications for this funding round close 30 October 2009
