Personal statement:

Adrienne Pierce is a nurse by trade and for the last twenty five (25) years has been a business builder, starting, building and selling three businesses to date. 

They were Bay Nursing Network, PORSE Network Group and Smart Business. 

She entered local body politics and became a Councillor in the 2013 election and again in 2016. Her volunteering background within the Hastings Heretaunga community, Hawkes Bay and nationally is mostly within the business sector. She has served as a Board member of the NZ Franchise Association, the MBIE Small Business Development Group, the Hawkes Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Havelock North Business Association. She was also a founding Trustee of the Graham Dingle Foundation in Hawkes Bay and a Young Enterprise Scheme Mentor in a number of local schools. She is the Chair of the Opera House Precinct Redevelopment and Fundraising Committee.
