The District Plan maps and appendices illustrate what restrictions apply to a particular property or area. The maps can give you a good understanding of what restrictions may apply to your property. The maps must be used in conjunction with the District Plan Text (objectives, policies and rules).
The District Plan comprises two maps for each part of the city.
You may also wish to visit our GIS page, which can show you aerial maps of most parts of the district, along with service lines, approximate property boundaries and road names.
Click on the cell covering your area of the Hastings district to view its zone map or designations and special provisions map.
PLEASE NOTE: You may need to disable pop-up blocking if a new window fails to open.
You will also be given the option of viewing the legend for the maps.
Some areas, such as Hastings and Havelock North, have their own separate grids. Click on the enlarged area if applicable.
If you are not sure which map contains the street you are looking for, download the road index (29kB PDF). Some longer roads and streets cross several maps.
You can also view road hierarchy maps for urban areas (PDF 398 kB) or for all areas (PDF 501 kB).
Note: All maps are in PDF format, and may take a few minutes to download depending on your connection speed.
