Industrial Strategy
The following tables outline the strategy direction for the rezoning of land for industrial purposes in the three areas identified for industrial growth.

The Council has decided to progress the rezoning of the Irongate stage 1 area in priority to Omahu Road stage 1. At present, Council staff are progressing a plan change for this area. In terms of the Omahu Road industrial area Council are undertaking stormwater investigations with a view to enabling a plan change to be prepared for the rezoning of this proposed industrial area subsequent to Irongate.
