The Hastings District Council has embarked on a process to ensure that all its services are operated efficiently, are affordable and provide value to the ratepayer. It has developed a programme of reviews across all Council activities to be completed over the next six months.
The Finance team has a requirement for a Business Analyst during this period to assist with these reviews. The position will report to the Strategic Financial Advisor but work closely with the leadership team and in particular the Chief Financial Officer. The Business Analyst will be involved in a wide range of projects.
To succeed in this role you will need to have a tertiary qualification in accounting, economic or business management, a high level of competence with Excel, previous experience as either a business analyst or commercial accountant, highly developed analytical skills and an enquiring mind.
You will also need to be highly motivated, have the ability to work under pressure to achieve deadlines, be able to build rapport with senior executives and to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
