Under the Local Government Act 2002 each Local Authority is required to undertake long-term planning with its community. The Hastings District Council’s Ten Year Plan 2009/19 was adopted by council on 25 June 2009.

The Hastings District Council Ten Year Plan has been produced in two volumes and two supporting documents as follows.

(1) The First Step (PDF 5MB)
Contains information on the key proposals in the plan, the community
outcomes process and what Council in partnership with the community
intends to do to further these. This volume also contains more detail
on the activities council undertakes, service levels, issues facing the
activitiy and the cost of providing the activity.
(2) Supporting Information (PDF 1.3MB)
Contains details of the significant policies Council is required to
publish as well as financial and rating information. This volume also
contains information on Council's statutory fees and charges, and other
legal requirements.

How do I get a copy of the Ten Year Plan?
Copies of the Summary and full Ten Year Plan are available from the main Council administration building (207 Lyndon Road East) and at public libraries, or on request by emailing lexfv@hdc.govt.nz or by phoning (06) 871 5044.
There is no charge for copies of the plan.
