Submissions heard on Long Term Council Community Plan

Home : News : Submissions heard on Long Term Council Community Plan

6 June

The Hastings District Council will spend the next few days hearing submissions on its Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP).

The council received 104 submissions on the draft plan, covering everything from Ocean Beach, Nelson Park, and a District Sports Park, to rates, debt, and initiatives for Maori.

Over the next few days the council will hear 42 verbal submissions, before it sits down to consider all the submissions collectively, and make any plan changes it feels are appropriate in light of the submissions.

Any changes to the draft plan will be audited, before the final plan is adopted by the Council on the 29th of June.

The plan becomes effective on 1 July 2006.

The LTCCP is a 10 year plan of all the council’s activities. It maps out the next three years in detail, and is revisited every three years to ensure it is still relevant and reflects the community’s priorities.
