Hastings District Council today carried a motion to release for public consultation a draft structure plan for Ocean Beach.
Public consultation will run until 4.30pm, Friday, 30th March 2007.
The 2007 Ocean Beach Draft Structure Plan outlines a suggested direction for Ocean Beach which proposes a plan change to the area. The principal aim of public consultation is to gain input from the community prior to the Council making a final decision on the scope and form of the proposed plan change.
A copy of the draft structure plan is available from www.oceanbeach.org.nz or from the offices of the Hastings District Council.
The Council will hold a ‘non-statutory’ hearing to hear directly from submitters to the draft structure plan. This is likely to held in early May 2007.
