Parking Fees
Parking fees in high demand areas of Hastings are set at $1.00 per hour to encourage faster turnarounds of on-street carparks. Council has extended parking times at no extra cost from one hour to four hours on the outer edges of the CBD, with the aim of reducing congestion in the middle of town.

Meters/Pay and Display
On-street meters are $1 per hour.
Pay-and-display parking is 50 cents an hour in the following carparks:
- Eastern carpark, situated on the corner of Eastbourne Street and Karamu Road North
- Southern carpark which is situated behind the Clocktower
- King Street North carpark
- Northern carpark behind the performance platform in the mall. This car park has a 3-hour limit.
In Havelock North all parking is free, but there are allocated time limits. These are:
- Middle Road carpark limit of two hours
- Te Aute Rd/Porter Drive off-street parking limit of two hours
- Treachers Lane off-street parking limit of three hours
- All other on-street carparks a limit of one hour
CBD contractor parking
If you are a contractor and working in the central business area of the Hastings District, meter hoods are available for metered areas and permits for time-restricted areas.
A charge of $10 will apply each day.
