The request for proposed plan change 25 was accepted by the Hastings District Council's Hearings Committee, at the 22 November 2004 meeting. There was an appeal period of 30 days where no appeals were received by the Council.

As such, Plan Change 25 became operative 10 January 2005.

Background

Irinka Limited requested a change to the Hastings District Plan to rezone land situated within the South Western Hills area from Rural to Rural Residential. The land is located at the end of Aintree Road, off Margaret Avenue, to the South of the Havelock North Village.

The land comprises of approximately 45 hectares and forms part of the rural property legally described as Lot 12, Lot 14, Lot 16 and Lot 18 Deposited Plan 2629, Lot 1 Deposited Plan 3429 and Lot 1 Deposited Plan 25947.
