The Hastings District Council has proposed a plan change to expand the residential zone north-west of Frimley in Hastings to provide a new urban expansion area.
The proposed plan change relates to land, bounded by Nottingley Road in the south, Lyndhurst Road in the east, the Napier Hastings Expressway (SH50) in the north, and the existing residential zoned land on the eastern side of Omahu Road and Ballantyne Road in the west.
This proposed plan change is a result of the Hastings Urban Development Strategy, which identified Lyndhurst as a preferred growth area. The proposed plan change requires changes to the planning maps and rules of the Hastings District Plan.
To support the proposed plan change, the Council has issued a Notice of Requirement (PDF 99KB) to designate corridors within the expansion area for water, sewer, and stormwater services.
Note the following Plan Sections relate to Plan Change 26 as originally notified (not as amended by decisions).
Now that the full Council has issued decisions on submissions, Plan Change 26 is deemed ammended.
Original submissions closed 4.30pm Monday 8 November 2004
Further submissions closed 4.30pm Friday 4 February 2005
Submissions Hearings were held on 11, 12 & 14 April 2005, and 16, 17, 19 & 20 May 2005.
