The Hastings Reserve Strategy 2006 sets out the Hastings District Council's plans for acquiring and developing parks and reserves over the next 20 years.
The strategy raises minimum levels of service from 4 hectares of reserve space per 1000 people, to 10 hectares per 1000 people. The process of developing the strategy involved thorough consultation.
