RJ Ker Contractors - Howard Street

The Hastings District Council has received an application for resource consent and supporting Assessment of Environmental Effects from RJ Ker Contractors Limited to construct a Lifestyle Village consisting of a caretaker’s unit and 62 resident units (for persons over the age of 50) and undertake a fee simple and unit title subdivision around the resulting units.

It is also proposed to separate the existing dwelling from the proposed Lifestyle Village on lots 3-6 DP 3146 (CT HB110/280) being approximately 2.8207 hectares in total area and located at 1239 Howard Street, Hastings.

The subject site is zoned Plains Zone in the Hastings District Plan and the proposal is a Non-Complying activity. The proposal does not meet the following District Plan standards:

  • Standard 6.9.2 – one residential building shall be allowed per site provided that that site shall be a minimum of 2500m2.
  • Standard 15.1.8.3 - in that there will be no amalgamation of the balance lot.

Submissions

Any person may make a submission on the application. You may do so by sending a written submission to the Hastings District Council, Private Bag 9002, Hastings. The submission must be in ‘form 13’. Copies of this form are available from the Council’s Civic Administration building, Lyndon Road East, Hastings, or from Councils website www.hastingsdc.govt.nz/resourceconsents.

Submissions close at 4.30 pm on 13th October 2009.

As soon as reasonably practicable after serving your submission on the Hastings District Council, you must serve a copy of your submission on RJ Ker Contractors Limited, whose address for service is:
