Our Long Term Council Community Plan already signals the development of a Regional Sports Park at Percival Road. We would now like your views on advancing the wider Regional Sports Park concept.
We welcome your feedback on all aspects of the proposal, and in particular we would like to know:
- What you think about the Regional Sports Park concept, including the facilities and programmes we are proposing for it
- What you think about the amount of money the Council is proposing to contribute to the project
- What you think about the Council providing annual operational funding to the Regional Sports Park
- What you think about the Council forming a charitable trust to own the Sports Park (but not the land) as well as overseeing the fundraising, construction and operations of the Park as its governing body
One of the main reasons for doing this public consultation is the proposed Regional Sports Park represents a significant change to our Long Term Council Community Plan (LTCCP) 2006-2016. That means we need to make sure you are happy with what we are doing.
