The Animal Control team promotes better care and control of dogs, providing public education within schools and community groups, responding to dog control complaints, maintaining pound facilities and enforcing the Animal Control bylaws.

Dog Exercise Areas
Dogs need plenty of exercise to stay healthy and happy. There are many places in Hastings District where you can take your dog for a run off the lead.
Remember to pick up your dog's droppings. It is illegal under the Dog Control Act 1996 and Hastings District Council Bylaws to allow your dog to foul in public places.
