About Hastings District's Water Supply

Hastings has 10 separate water supply systems consisting of water supply sources, pipeline networks, reservoirs, treatment plants and pumping stations.

Water Service Connections

The Council provides stormwater, sewer and water connections. A connection is the piece of pipe that joins your property to the various networks. Applications for a connection are handled by the Resource Management group at the Council.

The Council’s underground services maintenance contractor is the only party authorised to install new connections.
