Working for your community at Hastings District Council comes with a number of benefits.
Hastings District Council's Social Club is a great way for
staff to meet other staff that are not in their immediate
work group.
Social Club meets every second Friday after work for drinks and competitions. Social Club members go out for meals, enjoy organised events including ten pin bowling, trivia nights, sporting events (including competing for the soccer cup from Napier City Council), concert buses, wine tasting and various other activities during the year.
All staff have the opportunity to learn Te Reo by completing the Te Ara Reo Maori Language Programme. Participating staff learn some basic conversational Maori, and are able to confidently pronounce Maori names and places.
After twelve months service, Hastings District Council makes voluntary employer contributions to Kiwisaver of up to 4% of the employee’s salary. Employer contributions prior to the employee being employed for twelve months are as outlined in legislation.
