Boil water reminder for Whirinaki/Esk

boil water notice 500x334

Whirinaki residents may have noticed that their drinking water supply is returning intermittently.

Hastings District Council advises that this water supply is still not officially restored at this time, it is still being tested for leaks, so it’s very important if people can access water from their taps that it is boiled before drinking.

Residents should boil this water for at least a minute at a rolling boil.

This boil water notice will remain in place until advised otherwise.

If people still don’t have access to power, temporary tanks have been established for drinking water collection in Northshore Road and Whirinaki Road.

At Esk Ridge, the water supply is available but all drinking water must be boiled until further notice.

At Esk Hills (including Hill Rd, Seafield Rd and Lopdell Lane), work is ongoing to establish an interim supply. If water starts returning intermittently to this supply, all drinking water must be boiled until further notice.
