The pre-show and movie are FREE as well as the popcorn and candy floss! Food from the food vendors is at your expense.

All the fun is taking place in Civic Square, Eastbourne St., Hastings

The event starts at 2pm with the movie beginning at 3pm.

Typically 45 minutes to one hour before your movie starts will give you plenty of time to enjoy the pre-show entertainment, find a spot and enjoy your picnic!

This is a FREE community event so tickets are not required. All seating is general admission, so once you arrive, find your spot, get comfy and enjoy the show.

Bring your favourite picnic blanket, some yummy food & drink, and something comfy to sit on! Bean bags will be available on a first come, first serve basis, otherwise please bring your LOW chairs.

If you bring a tall or high chair, we ask that you sit towards the back and that you’re mindful of blocking other people’s views.

As this is an afternoon movie, don’t forget to bring plenty of water, a hat, and some sunscreen.

Bookings are not required. Simply show up on the day and enjoy the show.

Yes, food truck Fork & Noise will be on-site serving up their amazing burgers and tacos as well as Gala Catering where you can grab a hot dog & hot chips.

Street parking is available around Civic Square. You may find that you’ll have to walk a few hundred metres so if you have a load of picnic gear, it might pay to ask whoever is driving to drop you off first before they find a park.

The movie can play rain or shine however if it is raining heavily, we will need to cancel the event.

If we do need to cancel, we will put a notificaion on both the  Hasting District Council Facebook page and on the website.

A postponement date has not been set.

The Waste Event trailer will be on-site for your rubbish and recycling.

We love our parks and we want to keep them beautiful so please either throw your rubbish away or take it with you.
