Hastings is humming. Taking its lead from the community and working with its partners, including iwi, Hastings District Council has an ambitious work programme underway aimed at supporting sustainability and wellbeing.
From improving water to providing housing, helping young people gain employment and upgrading roads and bridges, many of these projects take a partnership approach, and it’s this collaboration that’s helping get things done and is seeing our district being nationally recognised for the outcomes.
A lot is being achieved, and there is much to look forward to – by the end of next year more housing will be under construction, the drinking water upgrade will be complete, there will be a Quest Hotel in our city centre, and the heritage Municipal Building will be up and running.
All up, that’s a lot to be #hastingsproud about!
