Hastings Heritage, is a celebration of our district's rich traditions, historical landmarks, and enduring connections to the past. Our heritage is woven from the symbols, ceremonies, and monuments that have shaped Hastings' identity over the years, reflecting the deep respect we hold for our history and the contributions of those who came before us.
On 8 July 1873, Francis Hicks auctioned 100 acres of his land, divided into town and suburban sections. This signified the start of Hastings CBD.
