Robot Song

Robot Song

Toitoi & Arena Theatre Company presents Robot Song, an award-winning Australian theatre production, as part of Lift Off Festival.
Robot Song is the story of 11-year-old Juniper May who has superpowers - being different and creative. However, Juniper’s class don’t feel the same and send a letter stating that she is ‘the most hated person in the school’. This throws Juniper's world into turmoil, and so supported by her parents, she embarks on a friendship with a discarded robot, Battletac, who helps her find her true voice and celebrate her individuality.
A genuine family show, Robot Song illustrates the profound, transformative nature of creativity that when combined with unconditional love, becomes an unstoppable force.
It is joyful and full of hope. It is for any child who has ever felt isolated and any parent who is desperate for tools to help. Robot Song is designed for young people aged 8 – 12 and their families and features cutting edge digital technology, startling animatronics and a beautiful original musical score.
“Laugh out loud hilarious, gorgeously told and superbly crafted, a must see.”
Fiona Parker, ABC
This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body
