St Leonards Park playground

The Raureka Parks Reserve Management Plan identified the need to upgrade the playground at St Leonards Park, which is set to become our newest ‘Key Urban’ playground. This means it will feature more than five pieces of play equipment and will cater to wider range of ages.

The playground takes some inspiration from the neighbouring stockyards in its themes and design. Play pieces will include a bespoke tower unit with an enclosed slide, farm scene, swings and more.

Part of this upgrade will include new public toilets, as identified during the Raureka Parks Reserve Management Plan, and an internal carpark which will help to improve the enjoyment of the park and provide for safe access.

Starting with the public toilets, work is scheduled to begin early May 2023.
