Youth Potential Projects

The Youth Potential Project is our unique approach to help our young people stay on track and in school.

The aim is to help them to be engaged and educated, so they can identify and make good choices and take up valuable opportunities when they arise.

The project focuses on early intervention, with an emphasis on effective coordination of services, programmes and youth providers.

This collaborative approach seeks to ensure a good range of programmes to meet the varied needs of our rangatahi.

Youth Potential aims to support as many of our rangatahi in the Hastings District as possible, however, there is a focus on those who due to some sort of adversity are at risk of disengaging and taking a negative pathway.

We are lucky to have some awesome services, providers and programmes in our district helping our young people.

Here are a few of the services that support our Youth Potential Project.

If you would like assistance or more information on the Youth Potential Project please email youth@hdc.govt.nz or call 0800 4 YOUTH
