Temporary Havelock North water restriction

restriction

Havelock North residents are being asked to conserve water next week while work is carried out on one of the drinking water network pipelines.

On Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4 a section of the Havelock North drinking water network will be turned off to connect the Havelock North booster pump station to the existing pipeline.

During this time the quantity of water supply will be limited for a 48-hour period, and to help ensure everyone has enough water residents are being asked to restrict their water use from next Monday to Thursday.

The council has put contingency measures in place and does not anticipate any disruptions to service.

The best way to help is to not water your gardens with sprinklers, limit use of hand-held hoses, and avoid activities like washing the car or filling the pool.
