After a long, dry season water restrictions are being eased across Hastings.
All of Hastings, including Waimārama, has moved to Level 1, which calls for voluntary action to conserve water. Outdoor water use, such as garden watering and car washing are permitted.
Residents are asked to continue to conserve water where possible due to the ongoing dry conditions and no significant rain forecast for the near future.
