Poos and Farts Storytime lets rip again

storytime bookreading med

Let off some steam and join in a rip-roaring storytime at Hastings War Memorial Library at 2pm on Saturday 22 March.

One of the library’s most popular storytime themes, ‘Poos and Farts Storytime Rips Again’ will entertain with a new round of highly engaging picture books that celebrate scatological humour.

Hastings Library learning and discovery team leader Kristen Clothier says that much-loved picture books like Dawn McMillan’s I Need a New Bum and Tom Fletcher’s The Dinosaur that Pooped serieshave helped create a unique literary genre that kids can't seem to get enough of.

“So we’ll be bringing you a fresh crop of stories about poos and farts - a true family affair for everyone who loves a good joke, a whiffy story, and appreciates some well-placed toilet humour,” says Clothier.

“Poos and Farts Storytime will encourage children to engage in literacy in a fun way. Even more, it offers that all-important opportunity to discuss bodily functions as a family.”

All ages are welcome and children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
