State of the Environment Report (3)

The State of the Environment Report gives Council and our community information on the condition of the environment we live in. It also tells us whether these conditions are improving or declining. From this, we can identify key environmental pressures and make a plan on how we react to those as a community. The latest report was adopted by Council in December 2021 and includes results from 2015 to 2019. Hard copies of the report are available at Hastings, Havelock North and Flaxmere libraries and Council’s Customer Service Centre, 207 Lyndon Road, Hastings. The soft copy is below. This report exists because under the Resource Management Act 1991, Council is required to monitor the state of Hastings district’s environment. The Act also requires us to make a review of the results publicly available. To date, Council has completed three reports (including this one).
