The Youth Development team works with young people to help them develop the skills and attitudes they need to positively take part in society, now and into the future. The three main areas of focus are employment, the Youth Potential Project and the Youth Council.
Council youth connectors work with young people aged between 16 and 24, helping them get their CVs ready and prepare for interviews. If you are a young person looking for employment or have a family member who could use some help, go to the Youth Employment page.
Hastings Youth Council meets regularly to discuss youth-focused issues and work on youth-related projects. It advises Hastings District Council on issues that affect our district's youth, thereby providing a voice for young people at the decision-making table.
For more information see Youth Council page.
This programme ensures that there is quality support, services and opportunities available to all youth by collaborating with existing organisations that provide youth services.
See Council's Youth Potential Project page for more information.
