Roads update Friday 5pm

The New Zealand Transport Authority re-opened State Highway 5 (Napier-Taupo Rd) today at 2.30pm.

Local roads in Hastings, Central Hawke’s Bay and Wairoa, as well as some state highways, continue to be affected by snow and rain.

Hastings roads update:

Road closures:

TAIHAPE Rd is closed to all but residents from the Kaweka Forestry headquarters to the Rangitikei end.

PUKETITIRI Rd is closed from the Bulls Clearing (just west of Whittle Rd) to all but residents.

POHOKURA Rd is closed from Lake Opouahe (Tutira end) to Waitara Rd.

MANGATAHI Rd; the low level Bridge is closed.

AROAPAOANUI Rd; theis Low Level Bridge at the end of the road closed.
