In order to limit traffic disruption in busy areas during peak times, Council prohibits any activity which will affect the normal flow of traffic (emergencies excepted) on specified roads on weekdays, between the hours of 7.30am and 9am, and 4.30pm and 5.30pm.
The map below shows the affected roads, marked in orange; zoom in to see road names.
Note that Pakowhai Road is now restricted over its total length, Stortford Lodge to the Expressway.
In addition, no work can take place on school days within 250m of the main gates of any school in Hastings, between 8am and 9am, and 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
Exemptions may be considered by the Council on a case-by-case basis. To have an exemption considered, email Council.
