War On Waste

WarOnWaste Poster

As part of the Hastings and Napier joint Waste Minimisation Management Plan (WMMP) action plans and goals the Hastings District Council will be increasing the amount of community education and awareness for the public on how to reduce waste at home, work and play. Through the WMMP Council aims to reduce recyclable materials that are currently ending up in landfill by 20%, and decrease organic materials (such as food scraps and garden clippings) to landfill by 30%.  These screenings of the War on Waste series are a step towards this journey.

Come along and enjoy the free screenings, and stick around afterwards to mix and mingle, get some more information about waste initiatives that are happening in Hastings, and ask any questions you might have.
