Welcome to the Hawke's Bay Arts Festival

MyHastings October HBAF2

Nau mai, haere mai ki te Ahurei Toi o Te Matau a Maui

We are very excited to see the return of a full programme for the eighth annual Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival! With over 65 shows from October 14 to 30 there really is something for everyone.

Taken from the Māori whakatauki (proverb) ‘Whiria te tāngata’ which means ‘to weave the people together’ the festival kaupapa aims to bring the strands of our community back together, weaving artists, makers and creators in a beautiful showcase of work. The festival is an amazing opportunity to gather with your friends and whānau, reconnect, and celebrate what we have here in beautiful Hawke’s Bay.

The festival programme is online at www.hbaf.co.nz with tickets available to purchase. Printed programmes are available to pick up from local cafés, galleries, libraries, and i-Sites across the region.

FESTIVAL HUB

This year we’re excited to bring the heart of the festival into the newly opened Municipal Building within Toitoi Hawke’s Bay Arts and Events Centre. The central laneway with bars and eateries in the surrounding spaces, will be decorated to celebrate the festival, and provide cool little places to meet up.

Open from 5pm till late - check out hbaf.co.nz for more information.

Experience more than just a show – soak in the atmosphere, enjoy world-class food and make it a night to remember. We can’t wait to see you there!
