The initial assessments conducted by Geologists today have observed further rockfalls around the recent Cape Kidnappers landslide area. This feedback, received this evening, reiterates the need for the closure of all vehicle and pedestrian access to Cape Kidnappers along the beach from Clifton. Public safety is paramount and people are instructed to stay away from this area until further notice.
Council will continue to update the public as further assessments are conducted next week.
