Fabulous flock will be dressed to impress

Sheep

Our central city flock of sheep have just had a fresh coat of paint, and will look even more eye-catching in some specially-made outfits for this year’s Blossom Festival.

Members of Creative Fibre at Keirunga, Napier Weavers, Pakowhai Spinners, and Waipukurau Arts Centre, are currently hard at work preparing to yarn bomb the popular fixtures by the town clock.

The groups promise a variety of dress codes, including a saddle of pom poms, felted flowers, knitted scarf, something crochet and some weaving.

Keep an eye out closer to the time to see our woolly friends in their dashing new clothes.

Did you know the sheep have names? In 2011, after a public competition, school children came up with Chloe (the black sheep), Molly, Polly, Sally and Susie.
