Women’s Rest celebrates 100

My Hastings March Womens Rest

The Hastings Municipal Women’s Rest building will be turning 100 this year, and celebration organisers are keen to hear from any relatives of the original donors who made the building possible.

Significant for its architecture and contribution to civic life for the women of Hastings, both rural and urban, the building’s anniversary will be held on March 23 this year, between 10-11am, followed by an Open Day until 5pm.

All are welcome to join the celebrations, and if any relatives of the original donors wish to get in touch they can email Amanda at manager@hwc.nz.
