Mark your calendar for Friday, September 10 because Hastings is throwing a party and its free entry for all.
“Taste Hastings” is exactly that, an opportunity to get a taste of great local businesses and products from our bustling little city (and district!) An evening of food, wine, live-music and late-night shopping, it will be a fun, festive chance to discover new faces and places, and celebrate the start of Blossom Festival weekend.
The party will take over Heretaunga Street “East Block” so you can explore kerb-to-kerb without the traffic. There will be “pop-up” wineries dotted along the street so keep your eyes peeled for favourites like Clearview Estate and Craggy Range and a whole host of others, all set-up to pour their award-winning wines at great prices. Albert Square will be hopping with Food Trucks, giant mini-golf for grown-ups, and live music from Tropical Downbeat Orchestra.Or if you want to chill out, wander down to Landmark Square to soak up the DJ and take in the party.
Bring your wallet to indulge in some late-night shopping from the unique retailers you always wish you had more time to peruse, or step inside one of the restaurants and bars for dinner and a drink.
