Feedback wanted on Hastings city centre parking time limits

Parking Meters

Hastings District Council is seeking the community’s views on extending the parking time limits in central Hastings.

During the Long-Term Plan consultation, some submitters asked for parking time limits to be extended from one to two hours in the city centre.

People are invited to give their feedback and let council know whether they think the time limits should be extended, and whether that should apply to all city centre streets or just some, perhaps leaving Heretaunga St at one hour.

Normal hourly fees and P5, P15 and Loading Zones would still apply.

A form is available www.myvoicemychoice.co.nz to give feedback online, or people can visit Council’s Customer Service Centre on Lyndon Rd East to fill out a paper form.

The feedback closes on Friday, November 26, 2021.
