Operating hours of Council's services and facilities during the Easter long weekend.
HDC Customer Service Centre

CLOSED

The 24-hour call centre will remain open throughout the period, phone (06) 871 5000.

Rubbish and recycling

There is no kerbside collection on Friday 15 April. If your usual collection day is Friday, we’ll pick up your rubbish and recycling on Saturday 16 April.

Items still need to be out by 7am. Residents impacted are:

• Recycling: Parkvale, Mayfair and Havelock North
• Rubbish: Akina, St Leonard’s, Brookvale, Whirinaki

Henderson Rd Refuse Transfer Station

• CLOSED Good Friday
• OPEN  Saturday 7.45am to 4.30pm
• OPEN Sunday and Monday9.45am to 4.30pm

Blackbridge Refuse Transfer Station

• CLOSED Good Friday
• OPEN Saturday, Sunday, Monday 8am to 4.30pm.

Recycling only

7 days a week, 24 hours a day

  Cremations and burials can still go ahead over these days but will be subject to public holiday overtime fees. Normal overtime rates for Saturdays and Sundays apply.
