Across Hastings, signs of Christmas are well and truly here with the annual decorations installed to bring some festive cheer.
New this year is an LED Christmas tree at the Warren St roundabout to accompany the regular ones in the city centre mall, Havelock North and Flaxmere.
The giant reindeer are back in Albert Square, and also at Albert Square from December 9 to December 27, a Santa’s workshop-themed projected light display is on display from 7.30pm to 11pm each night.
The Hastings City Business Association has brought the festive fun to Hastings city centre with a 'Santa's Hastings Holiday' competition running until Sunday, December 18.
When out and about people can find Santa in eight different shop windows around town, then tell the Business Association what he’s up to and what they want for Christmas and go in the draw to win their wishlist to the value of $1000.
Forms to enter are available in participating shops, or can be downloaded from the Business Association website, www.hastingscity.co.nz.
These can then be posted in Santa’s mailbox located in the city centre mall by the fountain.
There’s also a chance to win instant spot prizes by scanning the QR codes on the Santas.
