Due to inclement weather conditions, the main route to Napier through the Napier/Taupo Road has been closed.
Unfortunately, this means the Speakeasy Burlesque has been postponed. Here is an official update from the producer.
“We've put this off for as long as we can but in the end, the weather has beaten us and we're going to have to postpone this weekend's Speakeasy Burlesque show in Napier. Many of our performers can't leave their homes and those that can face the prospect of getting trapped in Taupo or other outposts throughout the North Island as the weather worsens and more roads remain or are newly closed.
But all is not lost! We are so keen to show you what we've been working so hard on that we've agreed with the Art Deco Trust that, rather than cancelling the show, we will postpone it until late in September, hopefully, to coincide with the launch of the 2018 Tremains Art Deco Festival programme. Your tickets can be transferred and we will confirm the new date in the next few days via email.
If that doesn't work, we're very sorry we won't be able to entertain you this time and a full refund is available. For a full refund please contact the Art Deco Trust on 06 835 0022 or at festival@artdeconapier.com
We're really sorry that we haven't been able to tame the weather this weekend and very much hope we will have the opportunity to entertain you again in the very near future.”
