Public Notice of Variation 7 'Seasonal Workers Accommodation'

In accordance with Clause 5 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Hastings District Council has prepared a proposed plan change to the Hastings District Plan.

Proposed Variation 7 – Seasonal Workers Accommodation

Hastings District Council advises that Variation 7 ‘Seasonal Workers Accommodation’ is now notified for public viewing, and members of the public are able to make formal submissions.  Proposed Variation 7 introduces changes to the following sections of the Proposed Hastings District Plan:

• Section 6.2  Plains Production Zone
• Section 7.5 Light Industrial Zone
• Section 14.1 General Industrial Zone
• Section 33.1 Definitions

The proposed variation may be viewed and submission forms obtained in the following ways:

• via Hastings District Council website; see: www.myvoicemychoice.co.nz
• at Hastings District Council Civic Building, Lyndon Road East, Hastings; or Hastings District Council Libraries.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm Friday 27 September 2019

Once all submissions have been received, the Council will prepare and publicly notify a summary.  There will be an opportunity for anyone to make a further submission in support of, or in opposition to, any of the original submissions.  A hearing will then be arranged to consider all submissions and recommendations.  Any submitter will have the right to attend and speak at any hearing. Any person who has made a submission has the right to appeal the decision to the Environment Court.
