Pop-up cellar door at Hastings isite

John Hancock 2

Hancock & Sons’ John Hancock

For the month of April, the Hastings isite and Visitor Information Centre will double as a pop-up cellar door for two Hawke’s Bay wineries affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

Radburnd Cellars and Hancock & Sons will jointly operate a tasting table in the new Hastings isite location within the Municipal Building on Heretaunga Street East.

Wine lovers, or people simply wanting to support, can pop in and taste a variety of wines from these innovative wineries. Customers will also be able to place orders for delivery.

Award winning winemaker Kate Radburnd said she was looking forward to joining fellow winemaker John Hancock in the new pop-up location.

“It’s been a difficult time for all of us, but we are pleased to have a location where we can connect with Hawke’s Bay locals and visitors and present our wines,” she said.

John Hancock from Hancock & Sons said he hoped people would pop in to say hello and consider tasting or buying their wines.

“The isite is a really nice spot and it will be great to be able to part of the buzz in Hastings.”

The Pop-Up Cellar Door will operate Wednesday -Saturday 10am-4pm (The Hastings i-site opening hours are Mon -Fri 9am-4pm, Saturday 10am-2pm).

In addition to the new wine-tasting opportunity, visitors to the Hastings isite can browse the great range of gifts, souvenirs and t-shirts and find all the latest information on local events and where to go and what to do.
