Haumoana Coastal Erosion Scoping and Feasibility Study Report
This report provides an analysis of the feasibility of protecting the Haumoana coastline through the construction of a series of groynes.
It considers a current design proposal for these structures, the outcomes of an iterative peer review process on the engineering feasibility and costs of the proposal, and the findings of a cost‐benefit analysis of alternatives to arrive at an overall conclusion on project feasibility, within the national and regional policy context of the sustainable management of the coast. This technical report will be superseded by the Joint Coastal Hazards Strategy due to be released by 2018.
Pre Election Report
This report has been prepared by the Chief Executive in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 2002. It contains information for the community and prospective candidates in the 2013 election process.
State of the Environment Report
State of the environment monitoring provides Council and the community with access to information on the state or condition of our environment, enabling us to identify key environmental pressures and, from this information, then assess responses to those pressures. It is important that we as a community are informed about how we are performing in the management of our natural and built environment. The Report is not so much a report card on Council’s management of the environment, but a report card on us all as custodians/kaitaiki of the environment.
