Plan Change 50 - Irongate Industrial Zone

Plan Change 50 is operative from 30 May 2011.

In accordance with Clause 5 of Schedule 1, and Sections 95A, 168 and 168(A) of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Hastings District Council has prepared a Proposed Plan Change to the Hastings District Plan and an associated Notice of Requirement.

Proposed Plan Change 50 primarily seeks to rezone some 78.4 hectares of Plains zone land to Deferred Industrial 2 Zone (Irongate) in and around the Irongate Road and Maraekakaho Road junction.

New standards are also introduced which facilitate development of dry industries in the Irongate Industrial Area, and a structure plan to stage development. The Notice of requirement includes an infrastructure corridor, road widening and roundabout to support and enable the Proposed Plan Change to function.

Plan Change 50 introduces changes to the following sections of the Operative Hastings District Plan.

Section 13.7 Advertising and Signs District Wide Activity
Section 14.1 Traffic Sightlines, Parking, Access and Loading
Section 14.2 Noise
Section 15.1 Subdivision and Land Development

Decisions on Submissions

In accordance with the requirements of Clause 10 of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, notice is given that proposed Plan Change 4950 is deemed to have been amended in accordance with the decisions on submissions from the date of this notice.
